Port forwarding

Port Forwarding allows your Hive node to communicate with the SWRM network.

Port forwarding is a necessary step in setting up a Hive node. In order for the outside world to be able to communicate with your Hive node, you need to specify a communication port on your router and modem for the node to use. By default, Hive uses port 4342 (however, this can be changed in the Settings section of the Hive app). To see if your port is forwarded properly, use the “Port Checker” tool in the Settings section of the Hive app.
